“Dubai” / February 6th-11th 2019

Photography workshop “Dubai“ / February 6th – 11th 2019

… “There is a time, there is a time when it’s our turn…” Boris Dvornik says in his Cyclops.

Well, there is a time when a frame must be widened. Our crew is bigger, there are “miles” behind us and we are ready to sail forward.
The next stop is Dubai. This time, everything is a bit different. We will fly into the exotic, hang out for six days, and the photography which we will focus on will be “colorful”, from fashion, landscape and tourism all the way to street photography.
If we also mention that it will be an unforgettable experience, the preface to a story we will write together is finished.

Let’s turn to page one of a new book and immerse ourselves in pleasure…

Advice for your trip:

Croatian citizens do not need a visa to travel to UAE. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the planned return to Zagreb (so, minimally until 12th of August 2019.)

Safety at the location is very good, and Dubai is considered to be one of the safest destinations in the world.

We recommend you stick to the law and local customs.

Consumption of alcohol is allowed only in special places designed for this purpose. Not abiding to this, or getting drunk, is punishable by prison time.

It is forbidden to take any medication into the country with you. If needed, you have to ask for a special permit: http://www.mvep.hr/hr/konzularne-informacije/informacije-o-putovanjima/opce-informacije/ujedinjeni-arapski-emirati,143.html

Photographing of local citizens is prohibited (particularly women and children, especially in traditional clothing.) We will try to enable you to take photos of this in association with our colleague/guide.

We would advise that you bring your tripod, it can come in handy with prolonged exposures, among other things, such as enough memory cards, chargers, filters or flashes.

The power grid matches ours in strength and voltage, but the plugs are 3-poled, so be sure to bring an adapter for it.

And in the end, we recommend you get travel and health insurance.
